Timber Harvesting/Transportation Report Available

The Endowment today released a report — Timber Harvesting and Transportation: The State of the Industry — that resulted from a January 30-31, 2008 workshop convened to explore the state of timber harvesting in the U.S. “We appreciate the great input, insights and candor that participants shared in helping us scope the state of this important sector that is so vital to forest health and viable wood products markets,” said Endowment President Carlton Owen. The results will not only serve to inform the Endowment about possible areas of need and potential engagement but it will also provide valuable information for others concerned about this segment of the broader forestry community.
