Request for Participation in Community-based Forestry Survey
The Consortium for Community Forestry is researching community-based forestry (CBF) in the U.S. as part of a project for the Endowment. This research aims to identify and understand the rich variety of CBF initiatives, including community-owned forests. To this end, the Consortium is requesting that a lead organization with every CBF initiative complete the survey, found here. In addition to the survey, a few new CBF case studies will be developed. This body of work will be used to identify opportunities for the Endowment and other CBF funders to advance community-based forestry. A public database of CBF initiatives will be available on the Trust for Public Land website and a final CBF report will be made available on this website. (Participating organizations that complete the survey prior to May 15, 2008, will be included in a drawing for a $1000 cash grant.)
