Owen to Co-Chair 4th Small Log Conference

Carlton Owen, President of the U.S. Endowment has been named Co-Chair of the 4th National Small Log Conference to be held March 2009 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. This will be the fourth biennial conference held to look at the potential to develop local and global markets for small wood from both public and private lands as a way to enhance forest health and stimulate rural economies. Russ Vaagen, Vice President of Vaagen Bros. Lumber, Inc. of Colville, Washington, will serve as Co-Chair.
