Quick Turn-Around Sought on Survey — “Keeping Forests in Forests”
The U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities and the National Alliance of Forest Owners today released a survey to solicit input on barriers as well as possible incentives to “keeping large forested parcels in working forests.” “While we designed this survey as a quick means to solicit ideas and opinions from a targeted list of individuals and organizations in preparation for a planned convening, in keeping with our desire to be open and transparent in all that we do, we wanted to extend the invitation to anyone who wishes to share their views,” said Endowment President Carlton Owen. The window for the survey is very short. It will close on Friday evening, September 12th.
