Cluster Study Team Seeks Input
Dovetail Partners, a collaborator with the U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities, this week issued a call for assistance in identifying information from across the nation regarding business clustering within the forest products sector. The intent is to assess the existence of “clusters” that lead to increased value, efficiency or productivity for all participants. For the purposes of the study a forest business cluster is defined as “groups of forest-based firms or organizations located within a defined geographic region that have developed cooperative links with each other.” If you would like to participate in the survey please contact Dovetail at info@dovetailinc.org or 612-333-0403 and they will provide you with a confidential online survey link. Collaborators in this work, in addition to Dovetail, are Mississippi State University and the University of Missouri. For more information on the project see the related story dated June 6, 2008.
